Strikers will always win
The year 6's are still away so the year 5's had a boat competition. We could only use paper and masking tape. First we made a plan. Then we got paper, scissor and masking tape. Oh,I forgot to say we could use scissors. When me and my buddie started to make our boat, we started to have a lot of trouble. It just would not turn out like we wanted it to.
As we got more into it the next day, it started to look way better. All of a sudden, the teacher said "In 15 minutes we will go to the pool to test out our boats." The aim of the competition was to get your boat to float the longest and move the fasted.
Bridie( My buddie) and I started to worry. We were not at all ready to take our boat( The Striker 4) for a spin. About 2 minutes later we ran out of tape. The teacher came back in about 5 more minutes with more tape. Everyone was coming over to get pieces and pieces of tape.
Finally after cutting pieces for 14 people finally we got our share. Finally the sail was made and attached and the sides had extra tape (so did the bottom.) The teacher said time up and the striker was ready to go in the pool.
"Go" the teacher said we put our boats in the water. Bridie put our in and I watched carefully. One, two, three, three boats had sunken and I checked on the striker. She was still up and ready and was not full of water. It had been 5 minutes and it was up to the striker to win.
Six minutes 15 seconds our boat was still standing the other team There had fallen over boat had fallen over and had started to sink.
In 15 seconds the teacher said we won and the striker was still standing, and it still had no leaks.
I felt proud of the striker I ship that did not fail us.
Hi Millie, you must have had a fun time time with us away! I bet that you had a challenge for you to go through! I can see now that you had a lot of fun. Next time you can try to add a little bit more detail and information in your future blogs before you publish them! Other than that, you knew how to lure people into reading this blog of yours. I think that you put a lot of effort into this!
